Job Summary:

 

The person hired for this position will assist the Machine Operator by obtaining replacement raw materials from storage areas and handling all aspects of the corrugated packaging of the finished product. Additionally, they will assist the Machine Operator in starting up the machine and maintaining a safe work area.

 

Duties:

Assist the Machine Operator in maintaining a clean and safe work area and complying with all company safety policies.

Works at the conveyor end of the department assembling and labeling corrugated cases for finished product for two machines.

Seals and stacks 12 to 50 lb. filled corrugated cases on pallets, stretch wraps and transports finished pallets to the shipping department using a forklift or pallet jack for two machines.

Under the direction of two Machine Operators, obtains adhesives, twisted paper handle material, patch rolls and corrugated cases and any other materials needed.

Assist the two Machine Operators with machine start ups, roll changes, and minor parts repair and replacement.

 

Job Requirements:

Working overtime as needed, including Saturdays and Holidays.

Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol screen.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to read and write English at a 10th grade level.

Previous experience in manufacturing or shipping.

Ability to lift 12 to 50 lbs. 300 times in 8 hours and up to 80 lbs. occasionally.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Excellent mechanical aptitude

 

Job Summary:

The person hired for this position will set up, operate and troubleshoot a bag machine to manufacture paper shopping bags with twisted paper handles for Second and Third Shift.

 

Duties:

Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all company safety policies.

Load all raw materials required including paper, patch rolls, handle materials, adhesives and printing inks.

Set all adjustments on the machine to produce the correct size bag meeting the customer's approved sample at the fastest speed and the lowest waste percentage possible.

Perform quality inspections periodically to ensure manufactured product meets standards.

Perform troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance as needed.

Input production information related to time and materials for each order in computer system.

 

Job Requirements:

Working overtime as needed, including Saturdays and Holidays.

Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol screen.

Will be required to obtain a limited set of tools and toolbox to perform job requirements.

 

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to read and write English at a 10th grade level.

Ability to read a ruler to 1/16".

Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally.

Strong mechanical aptitude.
