Diagnose cause of malfunctions in industrial machines and adjust or install new parts to correct. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and institute corrective actions.

Electrical Maintenance Tech must have the ability to trouble shoot motors and diagnose machine failures and causes.
Work on control circuits, DC Motors / DC Drives, AC Motors / AC Drives
Have PLC experience with programing skills.
Some welding, machining and millwright experience required.
Electrical Certification Required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Maintaining building and equipment to OSHA and company standards and .

Maintain all production equipment in a safe and proper operating condition. This includes both mechanical and electrical repairs.

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as necessary.

Perform machine installations and modifications as necessary.

Perform preventative maintenance on all production and support equipment.

Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys and other machine parts.

Clean and repair production tooling as requested.

Repair and/or make repair parts for equipment using hand tools and machine tools. Assemble and start machines to verify correction or malfunction.

Dismantle machines or equipment to gain access to defective parts.

Install electrical equipment and repairs or replace wiring and fixtures.

Ability to read Electrical Schematics and troubleshoot.

Investigate malfunctions of electrical components, such as starters, relays, switches, photo-electrics, and etc.

Ability to build/fabricate electrical boxes/controls.

Practice good housekeeping and safety rules.

Communicate with department heads and production personnel about proper operation of equipment and future upgrades.

Participate with peers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures and such other duties as may be assigned.

Perform other assignments as required by ProAmpac.



Minimum of High School Diploma or GED and Electrical Certification.

5+Years previous mechanical, electrical ,PLC, and some millwright experience.

Familiar with CMMS is a plus.


Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of electrical, machining, welding and millwright skills.

Good oral and written communication skills

 Ability to operate within a team environment.
