Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K

General Purpose:

Inspects and maintains tool room parts and inventory, covers sealer bars and coolers for Totani converting machines and supports operations as needed by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Inspects all incoming bars from outside vendors for conformance to written engineering specifications.
  • Marks all bars/dies/tooling with correct inventory number after passing incoming inspection.
  • Quarantines and arranges for rework on all nonconforming bars, dies, and tooling.
  • Covers all bars with Teflon cloth for future production runs.
  • Arranges sharpening of punches & blades, and resurfacing of dies and seal bars.
  • Organizes and inventories bars, pads, cloth; slitter blades, core cutter and zipper blades; punches and dies.
  • Maintains inventory and requisitions parts as needed.
  • Reads schedule and prepares necessary punches, bars, dies, pads and special tooling based on job requirements.
  • Assists pouching operators during set-ups.
  • Supplies feedback and suggestions to Engineering regarding tooling performance and potential improvements.
  • Oversees and directs sealer inventory and assembly.
  • Participates in on-going training opportunities and supports a continuous quality improvement environment.
  • Review work instructions and procedures that are applicable to the position.
  • Other duties assigned by management team.


Physical Requirements:

While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to ginger, handle or feel; talk and hear.  The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
