General:

ProAmpac's Business Analyst & Developer will work under the guidance of the IT Application Development Manager and within collaborative cross-functional teams to develop and maintain a diverse portfolio of systems. Responsibilities include requirements gathering, specification writing, development testing, deployment and support.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meet with stakeholders from various levels of the business to help make decisions
  • Author and/or review specifications to meet user requirements and make adjustments as needed
  • Implement change requests and requirements through maintainable and reliable development practices
  • Reliably deliver changes to quality assurance and live environments
  • Identify issues, causes, and resolutions for support incidents
  • Develop queries and/or reports to fulfill customer requests
  • Contribute to coding standards and assist with code reviews to ensure quality of work
  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors to remove obstacles
  • Maintain and create detailed documentation of ProAmpac's internally developed automation/applications/processes
  • Maintain strong working relationships and effectively communicate within all functions across the technology area and those in other departments
  • Join in on-call rotation with teammates for 24x365 environments.

 

Required Experience, Skills, & Competencies:

  • 2+ years of programming experience. .NET, PeopleTools, or similar languages are a plus. Working knowledge of Object Oriented Principles is a plus.
  • 2+ years of Microsoft T-SQL experience: working knowledge and understanding of SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Jobs, and SQL Server Management Studio
  • 2+ years of development using Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools
  • 2+ years ERP experience with PeopleSoft, or other ERP, particularly in Supply Chain Management is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound planning and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and priorities, results-oriented
  • Work collaboratively within a team (under direction of the Manager of IT Applications Development as well as independently)
