Night Shift

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing plant equipment and maintain the plant facility to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.  The ideal candidate will have a mechanical and electrical background as well as hands on experience with preventive and corrective maintenance in an industrial setting.   The ability to diagnose and solve problems on mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems is required. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining building and equipment to OSHA, Food Safety and company standards.
  • Maintain all production equipment in a safe and proper operating condition. This includes both mechanical and electrical repairs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as necessary.
  • Perform machine installations and modifications as necessary.
  • Initiate and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime.  Establish priorities organize and plan work schedule in an efficient manner. 
  • Communicate with supervisors, leads and production personnel about proper operation of equipment and future upgrades.
  • Participate in a team effort to address problem areas, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures and such other duties as may be assigned.
  • Perform other assignments as required by ProAmpac


  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 Years previous mechanical and electrical background
  • Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of PLC's, Drives and Control Systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and  oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully work within a team environment.
